Research Interests

  • Investigating the generation and magmatic evolution of layered intrusions from chemical analysis of melt inclusions in cumulus and intercumulus minerals. Working area: Bushveld Complex (South Africa)
  • Analytical methods to obtain phase information (µ-Raman spectroscopy), major element (EPMA), trace element and isotope compositions (LA-ICP-MS, SIMS) on the micrometer-scale. Application to melt inclusions in zircon
  • Metasomatism of the mantle above subduction zones: Constraints from the chemical composition of garnet peridotites embedded in (U)HP crustal rocks. Working area: Ulten Zone (Italy)
