  • At the Institute of Applied Geosciences (AGW), Chair of Structural Geology, we seek a

    Researcher / Post-Doc (100%) TV-L E13

    The position is funded for 3 years.

    Our research and teaching is on deformation of reservoirs, diagenesis and rock magnetics. This includes energy- and mineral resources and associated value chains.

    Job description: You and a PhD student work in an interdisciplinary team of geodesists, geomechanics, geophysicists, the Geological Survey NRW and industry partners on subsurface elevation of German coal districts due to groundwater rise. You use outcrops, maps and well data, and build reservoir models including our knowhow on fracture detection as well as our petrographic and petrophysical rock characterizations.

    Personal qualification: Successful candidates should have completed their master and PhD studies in the fields of geosciences, geophysics or in related fields.
