Geosciences @KIT is top ranked! - We are ranked number one Geoscience Research in Germany in 2018. Our colleagues are called for professorships nation-wide, in 2017 Prof. Schäfer to the university Jena, Prof. Neumann to TU Berlin, and Prof. Butscher to TU Freiberg.

Karlsruhe - sunshine in South-West Germany - Karlsruhe with a population of more than 300.000 offers a variety of student life and sites to relax. It is among the sunniests cities in Germany, next to the Rhine river and surrounded by vineyards in the hilly Kraichgau, Black Forest and French Vosges.

As one of the largest group of Applied Geosciences in Germany we educate our students to become highly qualified and critical-thinking graduates.  Our fundamental and applied research in collaboration with offices and industry allows us to deal with real-world problems and offer hands-on traning for our students.
