Bachelor's Theses UGM

The bachelor’s thesis is intended to demonstrate that students are capable of independently addressing a problem within their field of study using scientific methods within a limited timeframe. The bachelor’s thesis is equivalent to 12 credit points.

Please do not have your thesis bound with a spiral binding.

Registration and Prerequisites

Admission to the bachelor’s thesis is subject to certain prerequisites depending on the applicable study and examination regulations (see the guidelines for writing bachelor’s theses).

The student must complete the Bachelor’s Thesis Registration Form with the respective advisors and submit it to the Examination Board.

The thesis is then created in the CAS system and assigned to the student. The student is then notified via email to register for this thesis online.

KIT Logo (This may be used—it is not required.)

IMPORTANT: No external logos may appear on the thesis, even if the work was conducted at a company. Only the officially registered advisors/reviewers are to be listed on the title page; all other details may be included in the acknowledgments.

Declaration of Originality

The bachelor’s thesis must include a signed declaration in which the student affirms that the thesis was written independently, that no sources or resources other than those cited were used, that any passages copied verbatim or in substance have been properly cited, and that the current version of the KIT Statutes on Ensuring Good Academic Practice has been observed.
